CONSTRUCTING A HOME
Wood, stone and glass are running themes throughout this house. These materials tell us the story of the traditional art of building; the dry stones walls are the expression of the past, they give the house its stoic and robust layout. The continuity of these stone walls from the inside to out also plays a part in creating a unique relationship between the house and the surrounding landscape.
Although this house is in keeping with traditional architecture, it still manages to incorporate contemporary open spaces flooded with light, thanks to the use of modern building materials and the development of innovative construction methods.
The tailor-made furniture was also part of this project: all pieces were designed to remain in harmony with the rest of the house and correspond to the lifestyle of its inhabitants.
